What is the difference between the Transfer Attorney and the Bond Attorney?

Transfer Attorney: Appointed by the Seller (but paid for by the Buyer) to handle the transfer of ownership from the Seller to the Buyer.  Bond Attorney: Appointed by the Bank to register your new mortgage bond over the property at the Deeds Office.  Note: In some cases, the same firm may handle both roles. Q: How long does the entire transfer process take? A: From the date the OTP is signed to the day the property registers in your name at the Deeds Office, the process typically takes 8 to 12 weeks if there are no complications (like bond delays or issues with clearance certificates).
